Varun Tej is an Indian film actor who mainly  works in the Telugu film industry. He was made his on-screen debut as a child artist on film Hands Up! (2000) and his debut as a lead in the film Mukunda(2014), directed by Srikanth Addala opposite Pooja Hegde .

He was born on 19 January, 1990 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His father name Nagendra Babu, Telugu Actor and Mother name Padmaja. He has one sister named Niharika Konidela, who is a television anchor  and Actress in Telugu.

Varun Tej is Very talented and Handsome, smart, energetic, stylish actor in Telugu Industry.
Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are his uncles. Actors Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej and Ram Charan are his cousins.

His second film Kanche, also being the first Indian film on WWII, became a sleeper hit and Tej's portrayal of Dhupati Haribabu, the grandson of a poor barber, who falls in love with Seethadevi who later goes on to fight in World War II, was critically acclaimed.

He had worked in many films viz.  Mukunda, Kanche, Loafer, Mister, Fidaa and his pcoming movie is Tholi Prema which will release in 2018.
