Mahesh Ghattamaneni known as Mahesh Babu is an Indian actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist who mainly works in Telugu cinema . He made his on-screen debut with the film Needa (1979) as a child artist and his debut as a lead role in the film Rajakumarudu (1999), which won Best Male debut Nandi Award.

He owns the production house G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd . He has received seven Nandi Awards, five Filmfare Awards, three CIneMAA Awards, three South Indian International Film Movie Awards and one International Indian Film Academy Awards.

Mahesh Babu was born on 9 August 1975 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father Krishna Ghattamaneni is an actor and his mother Indira Devi. He has two brothers Ramesh Babu, Naresh Babu (Step-brother) and three sisters Padmavathi, Manjula and Priyadarshini.

He completed Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. He is very popular & Commercial successful South Indian Actor. Mahesh Babu married to Actress Namrata Shirodkar and has one son Gautam Krishna & one daughter Sitara.
