Ravi Teja is an Indian film actor who mainly works in Telugu cinema.  He made his on-screen debut with the film Karthavyam in 1990 as a supporting role. He is widely considered one of the most popular and highest paid actors of Telugu cinema.

He has also worked as an assistant director for several Telugu films. He won the Nandi Special Jury Award in 1999 and 2002 for his performance in the films Nee Kosam and Khadgam and also won the state Nandi Award for best actor for his film Neninthe in 2008.

Ravi Teja was born on 26 January, 1968 in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father Bhupatiraju Rajagopala Raju is a Pharmacist and mother Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju is a homemaker. He has two younger brothers Bharath Raju and Raghu Raju.

He completed his schooling at N.S.M. Public School, Vijayawada and after that he completed his Bachelors in Arts at Siddhartha Degree College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. In 1988 he went to Chennai to start his career in films.

Ravi Teja acted more than 60 movies. Some of his movies are Nee Kosam, Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Bhadra, Dubai Seenu, Krishna, Kick, Don Seenu, Balupu, Power, Kick2, Bengal Tiger, Raja The Great, Touch Chesi Chudu, Nela Ticket, etc.
